News Behind the Meeting August 2015

A very full but fast paced meeting. Lots covered and plenty of time for supper chat afterwards. President Pete welcomed members and visitors and gave a quick rundown on the topics for the evening. He advised all that Secretary Harvey is away for 3 months and asked all to be kind to the Temp Secretary as she attempts to get up to speed...(but as that will take about 3 months she simply asks, "be kind. full stop..!") New LED light bar regulations

The following notice was issued by the WA Department of Transport. Please note that this has now placed focus on the placement of LED and work lights mounted facing forward on roof bars which is illegal. IB-132A Vehicle Safety and Standards Information Bulletin LED LIGHT BAR FOR USE AS ADDITIONAL DRIVING LAMPS
    Background Australian Design Rules (ADR) 13/00 previously required that additional headlights be fitted in pairs only. This inadvertently prohibited the fitment and use of LED light bars.
