Piston Broke Awards… A snippet of Club history.

Tony and Stella are Life Members with a 28yr membership. 

"This Club for generations had two major awards, the Ian Lockhart award, named after       our founder and first president and, since 1989, the Piston Broke award.

The latter has been awarded to the person or persons who have most comprehensively stuffed up and/or caused the greatest amusement for other Club members on a Club run or event.

December 2017 Club Meeting

President Paul Ryan welcomed the many members and 8 visitors.

Pat and Co were kept busy giving every person who attended the meeting a ticket for the door prize… a Richard's Tyrepower wheel alignment voucher valued at $89! 

Plus all members who attended this meeting were given a special ticket for the Members Only Prize, a nice set of cool orange MAXTRAXS.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday March 1st, at the Manning Seniors Centre, commencing at 7.30pm. Elections will be held for the following Committee positions: President, Secretary, Training Co-ordinator, Environmental Officer, Property Officer, and I.T. Administrator A Nomination Form for any of these positions on the Committee of Management is available from the Members Page on the Club Website. Completed Nomination Forms must be received by the Secretary before 5.00pm on Wednesday February 22nd. News Behind the Meeting & AGM March 2016

President Peter opened the meeting and advised they weren’t being pretentious sitting up there on a raised dais.  Just needed to be high enough to count votes easily.

Normal rites of club constitution were performed and accepted… the meeting moved on to the important part of the night… remuneration for the President! drachma or roubles in large envelopes could buy the best jobs… FIFA style?

Emergency procedure for Safety Information about the Meeting rooms was delivered. Hasn’t changed.. if you see them run, follow them, and then panic..!

NEWS BEHIND THE MEETING, FEBRUARY 2016

First meeting for 2016 and room so crowded we had to find extra chairs.

President Peter was happy to welcome 18 visitors who'd come to see how we conduct ourselves at meetings....Always around a planned agenda,  but with much laughter, heckling, interjection and a bit of deviation from said agenda .  Even so, it was a tight timeframe and Peter, ever aware he's going to be hammered for having a meeting that drags on,  had us all drinking tea, coffee and  enjoying the social side by 9:15.
