Event Organiser; Michael Gilbert
This was the first event from our club sponsor Goodchild Enterprises, I had been talking to Roger Goodchild for sometime about the possibility of running such an event, in the end it all came together very quickly deciding that just before Christmas looked good.
The main idea of this event was to allow club members access to Goodchild’s massive range of batteries and related battery accessories and to the professional expertise and knowledge of Roger and Rex, with the added advantage of them performing tests on members’ batteries on the day.
We had a good turn out of 14 members for our first event as can be seen from the photo’s ‘many heads’ under car bonnets… enjoying other member’s company and learning something new.
One of the highlights of the day was the tour of the massive warehouse facility with Rex. He told us Goodchilds can sell up to 10,000 batteries each month! Plus they have a fleet of 10 delivery vehicles supplying the many auto electrical businesses throughout the Perth area.
Personally I was very please with how the event went. As you can see from the list below our members snapped up the special discounts offered on the day. I know I did… purchasing two items I had been wanting for sometime.
